PWO Wrestlelution - August 3, 2008
1,034 fans packed the then-Plain Dealer Pavilion in Cleveland, Ohio for a first of its kind extravaganza. One year of emotion, one year of hostility, one year of effort and sacrifice led to what would become Pro Wrestling Ohio's signature event, for on that night, PWO's best met their "Wrestlelution".

First Ever PWO Championship Match: "M-Dogg 20" Matt Cross defeated Josh Prohibition w/Ashley LaneProhibition had spent months attempting to keep Cross out of the spotlight, going as far as attacking Cross with a hammer, severely injuring "The Innovator of Aerial Insanity" and leaving him away from PWO rings for several months. However, when Prohibition qualified for the first-ever PWO Championship Match, PWO management had an ace up their sleeve - to become champion, Josh would have to face the very man he attempted to run out of Ohio. M-Dogg made his return a triumphant one, becoming the very first ever PWO Heavyweight Champion!

Who is PWO's Most Dominant Man?: Jason Bane defeated Cronus w/Aaron MaguireWhen Cronus entered PWO, he destroyed and demolished opponents so handily, few if any wrestlers were even willing to sign to wrestle him. With greedy agent Aaron Maguire by his side, Cronus was indestructible. Maguire's ego and greed drove him to call out the mammoth Jason Bane, however when push came to shove, Maguire wouldn't let his client anywhere near the near-6'8 monster. Maguire began back peddling, going as far as getting a restraining order against Bane for a number of weeks. When these two men finally met, it was truly the irresistible force vs. immovable object, and it was Bane that prevailed, winning himself five very enjoyable and very physical minutes with Aaron Maguire afterward. Maguire's attempts at running and hiring protection didn't work, as Bane clotheslined Maguire to obscurity with about a minute to spare.

Last Man Standing Match: Johnny Gargano defeated Gregory Iron
The most emotional and violent feud in PWO history started with Iron's huge upset win over Gargano on PWO's debut episode, Iron's first match back from a near fatal concussion. Gargano's jealousy over the loss began to consume him, while Iron used the win as a springboard into a career surge and win streak, though due to frequent headaches and dizziness, doctors feared Iron was not fully over his concussion. After being outsmarted by Iron numerous times, Gargano finally snapped and perpetrated an uncomfortable and bloody assault that left Greg back on the injured list. Undeterred, Iron returned three months later with the simple yet powerful message "I'm still standing!". That statement led to a truly career threatening match, as Iron sought to prove he truly belonged, while Gargano attempted to take away the one thing Iron could depend on throughout his tumultuous life - professional wrestling. After a bloody and wild encounter, Gargano was victorious, but Iron found victory in defeat, refusing medical help and walking out under his own power, showing that no force of evil was strong enough to kill him or his dream.

First-Ever PWO Tag Team Championship Ladder Match: Jake Crist & Vincent Nothing defeated Morty Rackem & Matthew Justice and Virus & Virus GrandeThat spring, Pirate Justice and V-Squared had raised the bar on ladder matches in the region when Rackem & Justice defeated The Viruses to regain possession of Rackem's heirloom swords. The attention this match received angered Crist & Nothing, who had previously held the distinction of the best Ladder Match in the area. The one-time rivals banded together to fight to uphold their legacy, while each of the other teams gladly stepped up to the challenge. Stakes were raised further when it was announced the victors would become the first-ever PWO Tag Titleholders. On this afternoon, the unlikely duo of Crist & Nothing emerged victorious in a truly breathtaking encounter.

Greg "The Hammer" Valentine beat Mike TolarThe open challenge by the cocky and confident Kent State All-American was answered by a true timeless legend and Hall of Famer as the former World Tag Team and Intercontinental Champion submitted Tolar with the famed Figure Four Leglock.

Kiss My Butt Match: Marion Fontaine w/Macho Grosh defeated Jimmy DeMarcoAfter a none-too-pleasant altercation several months beforehand, DeMarco made it his goal to ruin the career of Fontaine, going as far as sneaking into arenas dressed in drag to attack Fontaine, and even going as far as to, while in drag, seduce the clueless Macho Grosh who thought DeMarco was actually a woman! All this nonsense culminated in the DeMarco-chosen "Kiss My Butt" match with rather self-explanatory rules. However, after Fontaine got the victory, he decided he wanted DeMarco nowhere near his backside, so he had a back-up plan - the 350 lb. Noj the Wild Samoan, whom DeMarco was very closely introduced to a part of in a moment I'm sure he won't ever forget.

King Kong Bundy vs. Benjamin Boone - No-ContestThe scheduled battle between the "Big Bear" and the "Human Condominium" was impeded by an unfortunate foot injury to Bundy. It was that injury that led to the appearance of the opportunistic Mike Tolar, who attempted to co-erce Boone into joining him in attacking and destroying the legacy of Bundy once and for all. After thinking it over, Boone decided to rebel against Tolar's wishes, and with a little help from Bundy himself, down Tolar with a splash and a 5-Count to send Tolar officially packing for the evening.

Elimination Tag Match: Hobo Joe, Bobby Beverly, Charles Johnson & Jon Kronica beat The Clash, N8 Mattson & Shane Taylor After The Clash's "Rock Show" segment was canceled after one week due to poor reviews, rather than accept responsibility, Ernie Ballz & Brian Bender blamed their guests... Hobo Joe & young Bobby Beverly. Both sides assembled the best teams they could find to settle the score, with Hobo & Beverly winning the contest and emerging as sole survivors.

Nevaeh beat Hailey HatredWith an injured Ashley Lane (aka Madison Rayne) at ringside cheering on, and physically helping, frequent tag team partner in other promotions Nevaeh, Nevaeh was able to score the victory over the tough internationally-traveled Hatred whom had accepted Lane's open challenge to begin with.

This event also saw a live performance from This Fires Embrace, performing the official PWO TV theme song "Home Again".
